Great scenery await you. |
If you are looking for a great place to ride
with plenty of scenery, check out Coral Pink
Sand Dunes near Kanab, Utah. Southwest Utah is
famous for it beautifully colored sandstone
formations. Well, lucky for us, when sandstone
erodes over thousands of years, it creates a
magnitude of sand. Throw in a little wind, and
you have some awesome sand dunes in one of the
most scenic areas in the country. All vehicles,
with the exception of passenger vehicles, are
welcome in the dunes. So bring your ATV, UTM, or
Jeep, but leave the Buick at home. There is
riding for everyone at Coral Pink Dunes. The
dunes just west of the park run 60’–70’ tall and
are crescent shaped, offering some nice berms.
At the north end of the area, the sand has blown
up against the hillsides providing some nice
hill climbs. If you want easy trails through the
pines, head to the south end of the riding area.
Small rolling hills for mom and the kids are
everywhere in between. The sand is very fine, so
bring your paddle tires if you want to climb the
biggest hills. The Park encompasses 3,730 acres
with the majority available for ATV play. State
Park day use fees are currently $6.00/day which
include use of the restrooms and picnic area.
